C-LO is played with three dice. One person holds the bank. Everyone else shoots against them, one at a time.
You roll all three dice until you get a hand that counts. Some hands win or lose on the spot. Everything else gives you a number, and the higher number takes the money.
No pair and no special hand means nothing happened. Pick the dice up and roll again. You can roll all night until something lands.
The bank rolls first and sets a point. Then you roll. Beat their number and you take the bet, lose to it and the bank takes yours. Matching it is a push, nobody pays, and the bank rolls again.
An instant win beats anything the bank has. An instant loss ends your hand no matter what the bank rolled.
Holding the bank is the real position at the table. You're covering every shooter who sits down, so a good run builds fast and a bad one empties your pockets just as quickly.
